This is my husband's recipe for granola. Ingredients:
3 cups oats |
1 cup nuts |
1 cup wheat germ |
6 tablespoons brown sugar |
6 tablespoons honey |
1/2 cup golden raisin |
1/4 cup oil |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 250°F. 2. Mix together oats, nuts, wheat germ, brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. In a small bowl mix together honey, vanilla and oil. Pour the honey mixture into the dry mixture and combine thoroughly. Spread the mixture into a large baking dish (like a lasagna or jelly roll pan) thinly so that it barely covers the dish. Bake at 250 F for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and add raisins. |
