A tasty, crunchy granola!
Ingredients:
3 cups uncooked old fashioned oats – not quick
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup chopped almonds
1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon fiori di sicilia (optional)
1 cup roughly chopped dried fruit
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Combine oats, seeds, nuts and cinnamon in a large bowl.
3. Melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly
4. Stir in honey.
5. Remove from heat.
6. Stir in vanilla and fiori di sicilia.
7. Pour sugar mixture over oat mixture and stir to combine.
8. Spread evenly on a greased baking pan.
9. Bake 20-25 minutes stirring 3 times (every 6 minutes) during baking.
10. Cool.
11. Stir in dried fruit.
