Camembert With White Truffle Cream |

A lovely hors d'oeuvre, very rich and very delicious. It's also fairly easy to prepare. This tastes great paired with dried fruit such as figs, cherries, and pears and/or a nice crusty french bread. Ingredients:
4 ounces camembert cheese, room temperature |
2 teaspoons shallots, minced |
1 teaspoon butter |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon white truffle oil |
2 teaspoons fresh chives, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. In saucepan, cook shallots in butter over med-high heat, until softened. 2. Add cream. Simmer, uncovered, until reduced to about 2/3 cup. 3. Remove from heat. Stir in truffle oil. 4. Stir in chives. 5. Cut Camembert into wedges and arrange on plates. 6. Pour hot cream sauce over and around cheese. |
