Camembert With Port and Cranberry Sauce |

Camembert is my favorite cheese. This is a beautiful way to do it. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons water |
1/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin |
1/2 cup fresh cranberries |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup port wine |
1 cinnamon stick |
1 teaspoon orange zest |
8 ounces round camembert cheese |
Directions:
1. in a measuring cup dissolve gelatin in water. 2. let stand 5 minutes. 3. in a saucepan combine cranberries, sugar, wine, gelatin mixture and cinnamon stick. 4. bring to a boil and reduce heat and simmer 3-4 minutes. 5. remove from heat and stir in orange peel and cool ten minutes. 6. heat oven to 350 place cheese on ungreased cooking sheets. 7. bake for 15- 2 minutes and spoon cranberry mix over cheese. |
