Recipe from the 'California Cookbook'. I have made this dozens of times and it always get rave reviews. Ingredients:
1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine |
2 ounces brandy |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 lemon, sliced |
1 orange, sliced |
1 cup fresh sliced peaches, pears, plums or 1 cup other fresh seasonal fruit |
Directions:
1. Combine wine, brandy and sugar in pitcher. 2. Add fruit. 3. Let stand in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. 4. Serve with or without ice. |
