A different kind of cookie. These cookies cook in a slow oven. Not 2 days ago today Sept. 20. Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
pinch of cream of tartar |
1/2 c. sugar |
3/4 c. m & m plain chocolate candies |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy in a small deep bowl. 2. Gradually beat in sugar to make a stiff meringue. 3. Fold in M & Ms. 4. Grease and flour large cookie sheet. 5. Drop mixture by teaspoonsful on cookie sheet. 6. Garnish with a M & M. 7. Bake in slow oven 250 degrees for 30 minutes or until firm to touch but still white. 8. Cool on cookie sheet. 9. Cookies store well in conatiners with a tight cover. |
