This is a great dish when you are looking for something different then the usual bake bean dish. Ingredients:
1/2 half pound bacon |
1 pound lean ground beef |
1 onion chopped |
1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can pork & beans |
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo bean |
2 teaspoons ground dry mustard |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoon vinegar |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. Place bacon in a large deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly crisp. Drain, crumble and set aside. 3. In the same skillet crumble ground beef and cook over medium high heat 2 minutes. Mix in onion and continue to saute until beef is browned and onion is golden. 4. Drain grease. 5. In a 4 quart casserole dish mix together bacon, beef, onion, beans, mustard, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. 6. Cover dish and bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes until bubbly. |
