My mom has made this for years. She originally got this recipe from a 1960's cookbook in St. Cloud, MN. Denis Bielejeski. Ingredients:
1/2 lb hamburger |
1/2 lb bacon |
1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans |
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans |
1 (16 ounce) can lima beans |
1 cup onion (chopped) |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 cup catsup |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger and drain grease. Then add to a slow cooker. 2. Fry bacon and drain grease. Crumble and add to the slow cooker. 3. Add remaining ingredients and stir. 4. Slow cook on medium heat for 3-1/2 hours. |
