A delicious double baked cake bar for breakfast or teatime. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter ,softened |
1/2 cup castor sugar |
3 eggs |
1 cup plain flour |
1 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp vanilla essence |
few drops yellow food color,optional |
Directions:
1. Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy. 2. Add in eggs,one at a time. Beating well after each addition. 3. Add essence and color. 4. Fold in sieved flour and baking powder mixture. 5. Pour in a greased and lined cake Rusk tin or 7 square pan. 6. Bake at 180 C for 20-25 minutes. 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. See Photo 8. Now cut it in center and then cut each half in thin slices. See Photo 9. Arrange on lined baking tray and bake at 150 C for 15 minutes. See Photo 10. Turn the side of cake slices and bake again for 15 minutes until crispy and golden brown. See Photo |
