This is a spicy fettuccini with sausage and shrimp for added color and flavor. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
3/4 cup smoked sausage, sliced |
12 medium shrimp (30-35 per pound) |
2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
2 tablespoons dry sherry |
1/3 cup half-and-half |
1/3 cup chicken stock |
1/4 cup scallion, chopped |
2/3 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated |
3 cups fettuccine pasta, cooked |
Directions:
1. Drizzle oil in the pan. 2. Saute the smoked sausage, shrimp, and minced garlic. Add the cayenne pepper. 3. Deglaze the pan with the sherry. 4. Then add and heat up the half-and-half, and chicken stock. 5. Stir in the scallions, and then add the parmesan cheese. 6. Serve over the cooked fettuccini. 7. Enjoy! |
