A delightfull, tasty treat at outdoor partys. Easy to make. Easy to eat. And a very happy mouthfull when you're done.......A slightly adjusted version of the original recipe from a bottle of Hot Sauce by Sammy Kershaw s Cajun Crabmeat Bundles. One of the first deep fried tasty morsels helping me learn to enjoy-occasionally-good ole southern Cajun cooking. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
8 ounces cream cheese |
8 ounces sour cream |
1 teaspoon garlic |
1 tablespoon hot sauce |
1 tablespoon cajun spices |
2 lbs imitation crabmeat |
1 cup diced onion |
2 (8 ounce) packages wonton wrappers |
Directions:
1. Melt butter, cream cheese and sour cream together. 2. Add everything else except crab meat and onions. 3. Stir in crabmeart and onions, cook about 5 minutes to blend well. 4. place one heaping teaspoon of mixture in center of wontoon wrapper. Fold 4 corners together and slightly twist to hold closed. 5. Deep fry in hot oil for one or two minutes until wontoon wrappers are golden brown. |
