Orange peel and aromatic bitters give a distinctly exotic flavor to this popular island coffee. From Caribbean Cooking . Ingredients:
4 cups hot coffee |
1/4 cup thinly sliced orange peel |
1 orange, peeled & sliced |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon aromatic bitters |
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped |
Directions:
1. Measure coffee into a flameproof glass pot. 2. Add orange peel and orange slices, steeping over low heat 15 minutes. 3. Add sugar and bitters, then strain and pour into warmed heatproof glasses. 4. Top with whipped cream. |
