From 650 Cocktails and Mixed Drinks . Used as a digestif this is considered somewhat ostentatious. Makes four after-dinner drinks bound to impress your guests...all flaming things do, don't they? Ingredients:
4 sugar cubes |
1/2 pint very hot very strong black coffee |
6 tablespoons cognac |
Directions:
1. Rinse out four coffee cups with boiling water to warm the cups. Pour out. Add a sugar cube to each cup then fill a little below the rim with hot coffee. Float 1 1/2 tbsp cognac on each of the four cups and set aflame. Let flame for a few seconds then extinguish by stirring with a spoon. |
