This salad is a fun and interesting cross between a green salad and a coleslaw with a tangy dressing.Marilyn Katcsmorak, Pleasanton, Texas Ingredients:
5 cups chopped lettuce |
2 cups chopped cabbage |
2 cups chopped red cabbage |
2 celery ribs, chopped |
3 green onions, sliced |
1/2 cup vinegar |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
4-1/2 teaspoons sugar |
3/4 teaspoon salt, optional |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, toss the lettuce, cabbage, celery and onions. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour over salad and toss to coat. Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Yield: 12 servings. |
