Inspired by my mom's cabbage rolls, I could never eat the big leaf of cabbage. So I made a casserole instead. Very healthy and my kids even asked for leftovers Ingredients:
1 lb turkey sausage |
6 cups shredded cabbage |
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce |
1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional) |
1 cup sliced bell pepper (optional) |
1 -2 mince garlic clove |
1 tablespoon italian seasoning |
1/2 cup onion |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown turkey sausage in large skillet. 2. Add shredded cabbage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and garlic. 3. Cook until cabbage will wind around fork. 4. Add spahgetti sauce. 5. Heat to a simmer. 6. Serve hot. |
