Cabbage Soup That Tastes Like Shoney's |

I found this in a local cookbook. I have made this many, many times. It makes a lot, so you can freeze some for later. Feel free to adjust the salt and pepper, as it calls for quite a lot. Ingredients:
3/4 lb beef, ground |
3/4 cup onion, chopped |
3/4 cup green pepper, chopped |
4 ounces tomato paste |
2 lbs cabbage, shredded |
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce |
1 gallon water |
1 (18 ounce) can tomatoes |
4 beef bouillon cubes |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 tablespoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown meat lightly in large pot. 2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until it all comes together. Maybe 1 hours 3. Time is approximate. |
