A hearty soup made with ham, barley and shredded cabbage cooked in chicken broth Ingredients:
60 ounces fat free, low sodium chicken broth |
4 stalks celery, chopped |
6 carrots, chopped |
1 medium onion, chopped |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 head cabbage, shredded |
1/2 cup barley |
2 cups ham, diced |
1 tablespoon dried parsley |
Directions:
1. place all ingredients in a large pot over high heat. Bring to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 1 1/2 hours. |
