I absolutely love this soup and it 's not high in calories. It's such a great comfort food with lots of flavor. With the added hamburger meat it somewhat resembles the taste of Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. Enjoy ;0) Ingredients:
1 large can of tomato juice |
1 large can of v-8 juice |
3 lbs. chopped cabbage |
1 large green pepper or (red), chopped |
1/2 cup lemon juice (bottle) |
2 cups chopped celery |
2 beef bouilon cubes |
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes |
4 pks. sweet and low |
2 whole cloves (garlic) or about 2 teaspoons of garlic powder |
simmer til tender then add |
salt and pepper to taste |

i've also browned about 1 & 1/2 lbs of hamburger meat then added all the other ingredients to it and simmered it all day, and it was sooooooooooo good. |
Directions:
1. You'll want to bring this to a boil and then simmer for at least 3 to 4 hours, I've simmered it all day, seems the longer you simmer soup the more flavorful it gets. |
