A hearty winter dish Ingredients:
4 cups soup stock |
4 tablespoons butter |
1 onion, sliced thin |
1 cup turnip, shredded |
2 cups cabbage, shredded |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pan. 2. Add onion and saute until translucent. 3. Add shredded turnip and cabbage and heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. 4. Add soup stock and seasonings. 5. Bring to a boil. 6. Reduce heat. 7. Simmer 15 minutes. 8. Serve hot, float a spponful of sour cream and a dash of paprika on top if desired. |
