this is my favorite way to eat cabbage! lots of fiber.. Ingredients:
1 medium sized cabbage sliced or chopped thin |
1 onion |
3 cloves of garlic chopped fine |
3 small carrots sliced thin |
3-4 cups or more of chicken or beef broth |
olive oil or magarine or butter, 1- 2 tbs. |
1/4 -1/2 tsp.dill |
salt - pepper |
brown sugar ,1 tb. or to your taste. |
Directions:
1. chop ,garlic ,onion.and sprinkle dill,salt and pepper over and mix. 2. saute in hot oil or margarine for a min. 3. then add cabbage sugar and carrots mix well and fry for a min. or more 4. add broth to cover veggies. 5. bring to a boil , cover ,reduce heat and cook 15 min . or until soft. |
