This is a great recipe for a hot bubbley side dish Ingredients:
1 large head cabbage, shredded |
1 onion, chopped |
6 tablespoons butter (devided) |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
8 ounces of process american cheese, cubed |
salt and pepper to taste |
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs |
Directions:
1. Cook cabbage in boiling salted water until tender, drain thoroughly 2. In a large skillet saute onion in 5 Tbs butter until tender 3. Add soup and mix well 4. Add cheese, cook and stir until melted, remove from heat 5. Stir in cabbage, salt and pepper 6. Transfer to and ungreased 2-qt baking dish 7. In a small skillet, melt the remaing butter, cook and stir bread crumbs in butter until lightly browned; sprinkle over casserole 8. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20-30 mins |
