Really quick fast saute. I was trying to use up half a head of a huge cabbage and I had some red peppers ready to go south, so necessity is the mother of invention.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp of vegetable oil (canola)
1/2 head of cabbage (perhaps 6 cups chopped)
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium yellow bell pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 teaspoon of dried dill weed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or one clove garlic, minced or pressed)
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 package of splenda
1/8 cup of white wine or chicken stock
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Heat oil in pan. Saute' pepper for a minute or two, then add cabbage.
2. After another minute, add the seasonings and the sweetening.
3. Cook until vegetables are tender.
4. If the pan gets too dry as it cooks, add a little white wine, chicken stock, or water.
