This is a very good slaw. Great for summer, don't have to worry about Mayo going bad in the heat. Ingredients:
12 cups cabbage |
2 purple onions |
1 cup cooking oil |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Chop cabbage and onion and put into layer of each into a large bowl. 2. Bring other ingredients except oil to a boil. When cool, mix in cooking oil and pour over cabbage and onions. 3. Let stand over night without stirring. Stir before serving. |
