This recipes comes from the Maxwell Estate in Denton, Texas that I purchased in 1984. Ingredients:
1 medium onion coarsely chopped |
1/2 medium head cabbage coarsely chopped |
1/2 cup barley |
3 cubes beef bouillon |
1/2 cup catsup |
4 cups water |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to boil. 2. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. |
