Ingredients:
6 tbs butter |
1 tbs minced onion |
1/2 cup flour |
3 cups chicken broth |
2 cups cooked wild rice |
1/3 cup minced ham |
1/2 cup finely grated carrots |
3t chopped slivered almonds |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 cup half & half |
2 tbs dry sherry |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan; saute onion until tender. 2. Blend in flour, gradually add broth. 3. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Stir in rice, ham, carrots, almonds and salt; simmer about 5 minutes, blend in half & half and sherry; heat to serving temperature |
