Buttery Ginger And Garlic Pistachio Topping |

This topping of pan glazed pistachios with ginger and garlic will perk up any green vegetable. Ingredients:
3 to 4 broccoli crowns cut into pieces and steamed or any vegetable of your choice. |
3 tbs or so of slightly broken up pistachio nuts |
3 or 4 tbs butter |
2 tsp. brown sugar |
2 tbs. soy |
about 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger or to your liking |
2 cloves garlic chopped or minced |
pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. While you are steaming your broccoli 2. melt butter in a skillet 3. add brown sugar and soy 4. then add the garlic and ginger 5. saute for a minute or two 6. then add pistachio nuts and pan roast/ glaze for a minute or two 7. add more butter or soy if needed to have more or less of sauce if desired. I like mine to just be the nuts all glazed and crumbly. 8. Sprinkle or pour over steamed broccoli in this case or what ever sounds good to you. I particulary like it on brussle sprouts and broccoli myself. Enjoy |
