Buttery Cinnamon Nut Bread With Almond Glaze |

Easy to make using frozen bread dough, this tasty bread has two flavor variations. This is one variation and the other is *Orange Bread.* Have tweaked it a bit, but it is from the Land O' Lakes web site. Ingredients:
1 lb loaf frozen bread dough, thawed |
3 tablespoons land o' lakes butter, softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated orange rind |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 tablespoon orange juice |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
1 -2 tablespoon milk or 1 -2 tablespoon water |
1 teaspoon almond extract (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Butter a 15x10x1 jelly roll pan. 3. Press thawed dough on the bottom of pan. 4. Spread dough with butter; prick with a fork. 5. In a large bowl, stir together sugar, pecans and cinnamon. 6. Sprinkle evenly over dough. 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Stir together all glaze ingredients in a small bowl. 9. Drizzle over warm bread. 10. Cut into squares; serve warm. |
