This is a recipe I acquired when I was a teen, from a neighbor. It is always well accepted when I take it to a potluck. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups brown sugar |
1 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup walnuts, broken |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients. 2. Melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir over low heat, until sugar has melted. Remove from heat and add dry ingredients. Add eggs and vanilla; stir in walnuts. 3. Spread in an ungreased 9 x 13 baking pan and bake at 300° for 25-30 minutes. |
