Another recipe from what I call my from-here-and-there-and-everywhere collection. I Don't know where I got it....I know we liked them a lot because it has a blue star sticker (my system of remembering which of my tons of recipes I have made) on it and the blue stars were pretty - so I would have used them on the recipes that we really liked! :) Ingredients:
2 cups brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
2 1/4 cups flour |
2 cups oats |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup granulated sugar or 1/2 cup powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix brown sugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients except sugar. 3. Shape dough into 1 balls; roll in sugar. 4. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes on greased cookie sheets. |
