Can be made without the burnt sugar but better with it - it can be obtained from Triple K Mfg. Co., Shenanadoah, IA, 51601 thru the web - have never seen in stores in the South Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour |
1 1/4 sticks margarine |
1/2 cup nuts |
8 oz creme cheese |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 cup cool whip |
2 boxes instant butterscotch pudding mix (smaller ones) |
3 cups milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 tsp burnt sugar flavoring |
more cool whip |
more nuts |
Directions:
1. FIRST LAYER 2. Mix nuts, flour and margarine and spread in 9x13 inch pan. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and cool 4. SECOND LAYER 5. Mix creme cheese, sugar and cool whip and spread over the cool first layer 6. THIRD LAYER 7. Mix milk, vanilla, butterscotch pudding and burnt sugar and spread over second layer 8. FOURTH LAYER 9. Spread with cool whip and sprinkle with nuts 10. Put in refrigerator until sets up |
