In a never-ending quest to rid my pantry of half-eaten boxes of cereal, today I searched the internet and found this recipe. Very tasty candy clusters that the kids loved. For easier prep, I throw the mixture onto a silpat and break into pieces when hardened. If your cereal has gone stale, simply warm in a 250 degree oven until crisp. Found this , which has recipes using a variety of cereals. I'm guessing on the number of servings. Ingredients:
1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips (about 2 cups) |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
8 cups corn pops cereal |
Directions:
1. Melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until well-blended. Remove from heat. 2. Add Corn Pops cereal; stir until well-coated. 3. Drop by rounded measuring-teaspoon onto waxed paper or buttered baking sheets. Place in refrigerator until set (about 20 minutes). Store in tightly covered container. |
