We love butterscotch and we love cheesecake, so I found a way to get them together. Ingredients:
3 cups graham cracker crumbs |
1/2 cup melted butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup butterscotch chips |
1 teaspoon butter or 1 teaspoon margarine |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees. 2. Combine crust ingredients. 3. Press into 9 in pie pan. 4. With mixer, beat cream cheese until fluffy. 5. Add eggs, beat well. 6. Add sugar and vanilla. 7. Pour over crust. 8. Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. 9. Turn oven off; allow to cool in oven. 10. In small saucepan, on low heat; melt chips and butter. 11. Serve cheesecake with a dollop of butterscotch sauce. |
