Low-fat and tasty! Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened |
2 large egg whites |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
cooking spray |
1/2 cup butterscotch chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Cream sugars and margarine at medium speed until well-blended (about 4 minutes.) Add egg whites and vanilla; beat well. 3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cups; level with a knife. 4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir well with a whisk. 5. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; beat at low speed just until blended. 6. Spread batter evenly in an 8 square pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. 7. Sprinkle evenly with butterscotch morsels. 8. Bake at 350° for 28-30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. 9. Cool and cut into squares. |
