This is another South African recipe I grew up with. It is rich and sweet -like dessert it is so good! It goes perfect with any savoury meat dish like Roast Chicken, barbecued pork ribs or lamb chops!Or turkey at Christmas! Read more ! Ingredients:
3 cups butternut squash, cooked and mashed |
1 cup cream |
1 cup all purpose flour |
2 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 cup butter |
3eggs, beaten |
Directions:
1. Set the oven at 180'C or 350'F. grease a 9 x 13 oven casserole dish. Mix all the ingredients together until smooth, pour into the casserole dish and bake for 1 hour 15min, until a toothpick comes out clean and the top is slightly brown. |
