Brown suggests using an heirloom variety of apple in this dish, if available. Also, we found Fuji apples work well. Serve with turkey, duck, or pork. At the White Dog Cafe, Brown also serves this raw relish with smoked salmon. Ingredients:
1 cup diced peeled butternut squash |
1 cup diced gala apple |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon sherry vinegar |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. Let stand 1 hour. |
