For when I do not have buttermilk on hand. Ingredients:
1 cup milk (just under one cup) |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Place lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup. 2. Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line. 3. Let stand for five minute. 4. Then, use as much as your recipe calls for. 5. If you put it in the refrigerator for 5 minutes it will thicken. 6. Refrigerate any unused portions. |
