Savory flavor,tender texture and a crunchy crust make this bread a good all-purpose accompaniment. Ingredients:
2c flour |
2tbs sugar |
1tsp baking soda |
11/2c low-fat buttermilk |
1/4 c butter,melted |
2 large egg whites |
cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups;level with a knife.Combine flour,sugar,baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in center of mixture. Combine buttermilk,butter,and egg whites,stirring with a whisk. Add to flur mixture,stirring just till moist. 3. Spread batter into an 8x4 loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 45 min or till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. 4. Coo 10 mins. in pan on wire rack;remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. |
