This is a glaze that goes on buttermilk pound cakes. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons buttermilk |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
3/4 teaspoon cornstarch |
1/8 teaspoon baking soda |
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly Remove from heat, and cool mixture slightly. 2. Stir in vanilla. |
