This recipe goes with Fig Preserves Cake Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter milk |
1 tablespoon light corn syrup |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 tablespoon butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 3 minutes or until syrup mixture reaches 220°, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in butter. Cool. 2. Beat on medium speed of electric mixer about 5 minutes or until thick enough to spread. |
