3 cups sugar |
1 cup buttermilk or sour cream |
1 teaspoon butter |
1/2 cup white karo |
1 teaspoon soda |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Mix first your ingredients in large (like Dutch oven) pan and bring to good rolling boil. Remove from fire and add soda. Replace on fire and cook slowly to soft boil stage. Beat while hot. When creamy, add nuts and pour in BUTTERED pan. 2. Cut when set. 3. To make pralines, add 2 cups whole nuts and drop on waxed paper |
