Buttercream Frosting w/Shortening

Ingredients:
6 tablespoon(s) milk
2 pound(s) powdered sugar
1 tablespoon(s) pure vanilla
1 stick(s) room temp salted butter
1 stick(s) room temp unsalted butter
1 cup(s) shortening
Directions:
1. Cream both sticks of butter and shortening.
2. Mix in vanilla.
3. Add a cup or a half cup of sugar and mix well. Keep adding sugar like this until its sweet enough for you. I think I used a little more than a pound of sugar. Make sure not to add to much sugar at a time or youll have a big white mess to clean up.
4. Mix in one tablespoon of milk at a time until youre happy with the consistency of the icing. I usually dont add milk at all, unless I want the icing to be fluffy.
5. Mix in a little food coloring if you like.
