Great vegetarian burger, better and healthier than storebought! The patties can be frozen and eaten 1 or few at a time - just defrost them after sauteing (and cooling off). Ingredients:
4 garlic cloves |
2 chilies |
1 bunch cilantro |
2 (15 ounce) cans butter beans |
3/4 cup breadcrumbs |
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese |
2 eggs |
salt |
pepper |
cumin |
Directions:
1. Mince the garlic. 2. Finely chop the chilis. 3. Chop the cilantro. 4. Beat the eggs. 5. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead them together. (FYI The mozerella cheese is the shredded kind) Add the spices to taste. 6. Form into a ball and roll into a large sausage. 7. Cut into 10 patties. 8. Saute on low heat till both sides are browned. It'll take about 10 minutes. 9. Dress up your burger as you like. |
