A different take on mom's pecan tassies. This version is great with a dollop of whip cream. Ingredients:
5 tablespoons of butter, room temperature |
1 cup of light brown sugar |
2 tbsp of heavy sweet cream |
1/2 cup of raisins |
1 egg beaten |
1 recipe of cream cheese pastry (posted) or |
1 package of refrigerated pie crust dough, cut in 6 inch diameter circles |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Mix together the butter, brown sugar, cream, raisins and egg. 3. Line muffin cups with pastry circles and spoon in the filling til the cups are 3/4 full. 4. Bake for 8 minutes and then reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake another 8 minutes longer until the filling and crust is lightly brown. 5. Remove from pan while still warm and cool on a rack. 6. Top with confectioner's sugar or whipped cream. |
