If you like pound cake I believe you will like this one, love that buttery flavor with a hint of almond. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 pound butter, softened no substitute |
3 cups sugar |
6 large eggs room temp |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/2 tsp almond extract (can use lemon or orange instead if you want) |
4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/3 cup whole milk (don't use skim) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325ยบ. Grease and flour a 12 cup bundt pan. 2. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. 3. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears after each 4. addition. Add extracts, beating just until blended in (well blended, 5. though) 6. Gradually add flour, beating on low just until combined. 7. Add milk, beating until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until pick comes clean. 8. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10-15 minutes. 9. Remove from pan; cool completely before wrapping or freezing. |
