This fudge has a wonderful, nutty caramel flavor. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups confectioners' sugar |
1 cup pecan halves, toasted and coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. In a large heavy saucepan, combine the butter, sugars, cream and salt. 2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. 3. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. 4. Stir in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Fold in pecans. 5. Spread into a buttered 8-in. square dish. Cool to room temperature. 6. Cut into 1-in. squares. 7. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. |
