These are easy and delicious. I have had this recipe for years and not made them very often, but someone brought them to my Mom's on Christmas Eve and everyone went nuts over them. My husband and mother-in-law asked me to get the recipe, I told them I had it already and they wanted to know why I had not made them any before! So, now I am in trouble (lol) and I have to make them!
Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box butter pecan cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 large egg
1 (1 lb) box confectioners' sugar (3 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°.
2. Mix first three ingredients and press into a 9 x 13 pan.
3. Mix confectioners' sugar, melted butter eggs and cream cheese together, pour on bottom layer.
4. Sprinkle with pecan chips.
5. Bake for 55 minutes or until cake tests done.
6. Cut into bars when cool.
