                    Another recipe from the old Swedish church cookbook. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 cup butter  |  
                                                1 cup sugar  |  
                                                2 eggs (separated)  |  
                                                2 3/4 cups sifted cake flour  |  
                                                1 1/2 cups chopped blanched almonds  |  
                                                12 candied cherries  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Cream butter. 2. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. 3. Add egg yolks, unbeaten, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 4. Add flour and mix well. 5. Form into balls the size of a walnut. 6. Roll in slightly beaten egg whites. 7. Then roll in chopped almonds. 8. Press 1/4 cherry into center. 9. Grease baking sheet. 10. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. 11. Smaller cookies can be baked at 25 minutes. 12. Enjoy!                              |
