Butter Crunch Pretzels

This is a great little snack to munch or to give away as treats during this Holiday season time.
Ingredients:
16 cups small twisted pretzels
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla butternut flavoring
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
2. Place pretzels in a large roasting pan.
3. Butter sides of a heavy medium saucepan.
4. Combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in saucepan.
5. Stirring constantly, cook over med-low heat until sugar dissolves.
6. Increase heat to medium and bring to a boil.
7. Cook, without stirring, 5 minutes.
8. Remove from heat.
9. Stir in vanilla-butter-nut-flavoring and baking soda (syrup will foam).
10. Pour syrup over pretzels; stir until pretzels are well coated.
11. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
12. Spread on greased aluminum foil to cool.
13. Store in Airtight container.
