Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegetable oil (canola oil) |
1/4 cup butter |
1 1/2 cups white sugar |
6 large egg yolks, only |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
3 cups cake flour |
1 cup half-and-half cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Grease and line two 8 inch cake pans. 3. Beat butter and oil, combining well. 4. Add sugar and vanilla. 5. Beat until fluffy. 6. Add egg yolks two at a time, beating after each addition well. 7. Add dry ingredients and cream alternating, and ending with flour. 8. Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees, for 30 minutes, until tester comes aways clean. |
