A good side dish. Ingredients:
3 c. fresh shelled butter beans |
salt |
4 tbs. butter |
1 tbs. plain flour |
6 c,water |
Directions:
1. Cook the butter beans in boiling, salted water until tender in a large pot. 2. Add butter to the liquid in the pot. 3. In a small cup, add the flour and just enough water to stir into a smooth paste. 4. Stir flour mixture into the butter bean liquid; mix well. 5. Heat and stir to slightly thicken, 6. Serve hot. |
